Shayna Dahan CPNP, PMHS

Co-Founder & CEO

Shayna Dahan is a Columbia-trained Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a Duke MBA and an additional certification as a Pediatric Mental Health Specialist. In a world where most providers see one piece of your teen — the physical, the emotional, or the behavioral — Shayna sees all of it at once. That whole-child perspective is rare. It's also exactly what adolescence requires.

She has spent 15+ years caring for teens across Westchester and New York City, and what she noticed again and again was the same gap: high-achieving, well-supported kids with involved parents who still didn't have a trusted expert in their corner for the conversations that actually mattered. Not a crisis. Not a diagnosis. Just the questions that come with growing up — the ones teens don't ask their parents, won't ask in a group, and can't get answered in a 15-minute annual physical.

So she built that place. First as A.S.A.P. — a teen health program she created inside a primary care practice because she couldn't stop thinking about what teens weren't saying. Then, with Samantha, as WeGotYou.

Outside the practice, Shayna has trained the next generation of nurse practitioners as a clinical preceptor at Columbia University, served on national committees shaping the standards of pediatric and adolescent care, and contributed to published research on improving the quality of NP education nationwide. She lectures, she writes, and she thinks about adolescent health from a unique perspective.

She is fluent in English and Spanish, and she sees every teen in her WeGotYou caseload personally.

The families who come to WeGotYou aren't looking for a clinician. They're looking for someone who will truly know their kid. That's what Shayna has always done best.

Samantha Kesten, WHNP

Co-Founder & Clinical Lead, Reproductive Health

Samantha Kesten is a Columbia-trained Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of experience specializing in adolescent reproductive health. She leads WeGotYou’s reproductive and gynecological services, including birth control counseling and prescribing, menstrual irregularities, hormonal health (including acne), and STI screening, education, and treatment. She is also the provider who personally delivers the reproductive health curriculum to every teen enrolled in the program.

Samantha is known for creating a calm, supportive environment where teens feel safe asking the questions they would not ask anywhere else, and where families feel guided with clarity and confidence.

Having worked alongside Shayna for more than a decade and shared care for many of the same adolescent patients, Samantha witnessed a recurring gap in healthcare: teens navigating both mental and reproductive health concerns while moving between disconnected providers without continuity, context, or trusted relationships. She saw how often adolescents were left trying to manage deeply interconnected mental and reproductive health challenges through fragmented systems that treated them separately.

That recognition became part of the foundation for WeGotYou. Samantha helped build the program to create a more integrated, relationship-based model of care — one that combines both reproductive and mental healthcare with structured health education, consistency, and trust. Through WeGotYou, teens receive not only medical care, but also supportive relationships, guidance, and the information they deserve.

Trust Built Through Education

Meaningful health conversations don’t happen in rushed appointments or awkward group settings. Through monthly one-on-one curriculum sessions with the same providers, teens gradually develop the comfort to ask what they actually want to know.

Education That Surfaces Real Needs

As teens move through their curriculum, questions emerge that wouldn’t come up anywhere else. A conversation about menstrual health reveals missed school days. A session on focus reveals years of unaddressed ADHD. Because the relationship already exists, nothing gets missed and nothing requires starting over.

A Safe Space for Teens

Teens need a trusted adult outside their immediate family who they can ask anything — about their bodies, their moods, their relationships, their health. WeGotYou creates that space: private, one-on-one, judgement-free, and led by a provider who actually knows them.

Support for Families

Parents receive a monthly newsletter with the topic their teen is exploring, family conversation starters, and practical guidance. You set the curriculum boundaries - any topic can be swapped or skipped. Your teen’s private sessions stay private; the newsletter keeps you informed and connected without sitting in the room.

A Different Model of Care

Traditional care offers annual pediatric visits or weekly therapy after concerns escalate. WeGotYou sits in the space between - monthly health education sessions that build a trusted relationship, with specialist medical care available though that same relationship when it’s needed.
